July 2010 Tuesday Night Social
It all started with and early morning phone call, "Rusty, this is Pete. Did you hear about the fire last night at the Reef Restaurant". That began a fast paced morning of contacting the Reef to verify that they would not be open, seeking another venue for the evenings Tuesday night social, and contacting all of our Florida Crown members to notify them of what had happened. Well, everything worked out OK. I was able to make some quick arrangements with the Kingfish Grill, located only a few miles from the Reef, who said that they would be able to accommodate our group, even at such a late notice, That's Great ! Now I had to send out e-mails to everyone of the change who had RSVP'd for the dinner, e-mails to the general membership just in case, and phone calls to a few members that had called me to RSVP. Yep, a busy morning to say the least ! As it turned out, it was an excellent evening, the restaurant was great, the food was great, we had a number of new members attend for the first time, almost 50 people attended, and the Porsche camaraderie over-the-top !
