Inaugurals Ladies Lunch a Success!!

Ladies Lunch a Success

(from Dorie Barren)

Hello to all!

Our first (inaugural) ladies lunch was very much a success. We had a dozen ladies who attended. The food was very good, (the Mac and cheese was reported excellent), wine and Irish beers were consumed! Lots of talking and socializing. And of course, out to the parking lot to view our freshly rained on Porsches. (I drove my RAV4- doing a Costco run after lunch!)

We did miss many other ladies, due to schedule conflicts, COVID, etc.

The next lunch will be at the same location, Culhane’s Pub at Tinseltown at 12:00pm on Friday, July 15. Please invite other ladies of PCA to attend and come again. I will not be there, as I have a trip to hometown Missouri planned. I will ask Denise O’Brien to take the names and emails/phone numbers at this meeting.

The PCA Florida Crown Region website will be posting the upcoming events. (Where they tell your husband to give you the information! Check it yourselves, or check your emails for the website email blast from Ken Perry.) I will give Ken everyone’s email to include the email blasts if possible. I will try to send an email out at least once a month, to remind everyone to put it on their schedule.

We will change our locations for lunches each month after next, to hopefully allow others to attend nearer their residences. Mandarin, Southside/St Johns TownCenter, and the Beaches will be our areas of target. We ask you ladies to pick a month to be the one in charge of getting the lunch facilities and reservations. I will do Friday, August 12 at the Bonefish Restaurant in Mandarin at 12:00.

We can get a roster of sorts, typed and hand out in August with everyone’s name, email and phone numbers.

A GREAT BIG thanks to Chris T for organizing our first two lunches, to get us started, for a wonderful way to meet and celebrate our PCA friendships!

Culhane’s Irish Pub is owned and operated by 4 sassy sisters (their words, not mine!!)  and makes the setting for PCA Ladies more fitting.  The sisters have been featured on Guy Fieri’s traveling show and can be currently be seen in a TV commercial featuring their 5 Sisters Vodka and how it owned, and distilled in Jacksonville, Florida.
