Event Overview

Come join us at the Brumos Collection as a team of Florida Crown Concours veterans and experts present Session 2 in a multi-part series on how to prepare your car for a concours.

This follow-up workshop drills down on:

  • Inspection
  • Remediation
  • Cleaning and preparation
  • Day-of-event execution

We are pleased to once again host this event at The Brumos Collection.

  • INTERIOR
  • ENGINE COMPARTMENT (Not Applicable for Caymans, Boxsters, late model 911s & EVs)

Please plan to arrive from 8:30 to 9:00 AM

Please park behind the building and enter through marked rear shop door.

 

Werks and Concours Prep Program and Panel Discussion

Introduction of the four-member instructor panel, all of whom are Concours or PCA Parade winners.

Prep Checklist review and Q&A

Category 1: Visual Inspection – What needs cleaning? Take notes plus pics from your phone.  Completed no later than January 15th.

  1. Body/Exterior
  2. Paint
  3. Tires/Wheels/Hubcaps
  4. Interior and storage(Trunk and Frunk)
  5. Storage:  (Trunk and Frunk) lining, rubber seals, hinges, components
  6. Engine Compartment
  1. Category 2: What needs fixing, make any arrangements to get this done if you need to “Outsource”  by February 28th

Identify what needs fixing and schedule work ASAP (or outsource if needed). Consider sharing a list of trusted contacts (“I got a guy”) for help.

Areas to check:

  1. Body/Exterior (Overall condition, damage/dings/dents & detail of vehicle)
  2. Paint (Check condition, quality, detail, fading, repaint/respray)
  3. Tires/Wheels/Hubcaps (Check condition for cleanliness, detail, dings, dents)
  4. Interior (Check condition, quality & detail
  5. Storage:  (Trunk and Frunk) lining, rubber seals, hinges, components
  6. Engine Compartment – Porsches with the engine compartments in plain view. (Mid-engine Porsches and newer 911s – fans, fluid filler caps, and deck hinges.

                  Note:  Mid Engine cars and newer 911s are exempt from judging the engine category at the local and  Porsche Werks Reunion.

Category 3:  What needs detailing once everything is really clean!  Start this part in mid-February leading up to March 28th.

Focus on:

  1. Body/Exterior and Paint (Overall condition, damage/dings/dents & detail of vehicle)
  2. Tires/Wheels/Hubcaps (Deep clean, protect surfaces)
  3. Interior (Check condition, quality & detail
  4. Storage:  (Trunk and Frunk) lining, rubber seals, hinges, components
  5. Engine Compartment Porsches with the engine compartments in plain view. (Mid-engine Porsches and newer 911s – fans, fluid filler caps, and deck hinges)
