Florida Crown Region Spring Concours:

What a day! The Florida Crown Region’s Spring Concours at The Brumos Collection delivered big on cars, community, and pure Porsche joy—even when Mother Nature decided to crank up the wind. Gusty conditions or not, nothing could slow down the excitement, the smiles, or the incredible turnout. An amazing time was truly had by all.

The Concours lawn came alive with a full field of 60 Porsches, creating a jaw‑dropping timeline from beloved air‑cooled icons to modern masterpieces. The relaxed show‑n‑shine format set the tone perfectly—no white gloves, no pressure—just great cars, great conversations, and a shared passion for the marque.

From early‑morning arrivals to the final awards, there was always something happening. Engines fired up, legends were spotted, and the sound (and sight!) of Porsche history in motion had everyone buzzing. Members scooped up new club swag, grabbed badge pickups, and fueled up with coffee, food trucks, and hours of easygoing, judgment‑free car talk.

New members were welcomed into the FCR family, longtime friends reconnected, and everyone enjoyed access to one of the most iconic automotive collections in the world. Even as the wind whipped across the grounds, spirits stayed high—proof that a little breeze is no match for great cars and even better company.

Rain, shine, or wind, the Spring Concours once again proved why it’s a standout event on the FCR calendar. Huge thanks to everyone who brought their cars, their energy, and their enthusiasm. This one will be talked about for a long time—and we can’t wait to do it again.

At the end of the awards ceremony, a couple standing beside their Porsche Racing Green Metallic 911 shared a moment many of us could appreciate. They mentioned they’d attended several concours over the years without a win—then smiled and said, “but we did today.” The twinkle in their eyes said it all!
More than 60 cars arrived early Saturday, each prepared and each owner eager to win or place or enjoy the day. The setting gave everyone a chance to reconnect and take in the quality and variety of Porsches on display.
A few new touches helped the event run smoothly. Dashboard parking passes streamlined entry to the Brumos Collection grounds, and check-in—led by Ed Lustgarten—kept things moving efficiently. Participants also received a new “friends & neighbors” list, organizing cars and owners by class to make connections easier throughout the day.
Feedback from the Brumos team was very positive, with the executive director noting, “I think the concours was great—let’s do 70 Porsches next year.” With 59 spaces in the rear lot, that goal will take some creative engineering. Stay tuned.
The new trophies were well received, described by one winner as modern and eye-catching. We also introduced a “First Timers” program, where members joined judging teams to see the process firsthand—an experience we plan to continue.
