The Florida Crown Region gathered today for a fantastic exclusive new member social at the beautiful Timuquana Country Club in Jacksonville—and what a turnout it was! With a record-setting 54 members in attendance, the room was filled with energy, excitement, and plenty of great conversation.
One of the highlights of the event was our “My Porsche and I – People’s Choice” contest, where new members shared their stories, their passion for the brand, and the journeys that brought them both their cars and into our club. It was a wonderful way to connect and celebrate what makes this community so special.
The food certainly didn’t disappoint. The Southern barbecue was a hit across the board, featuring everything from classic favorites to a standout vegetarian mushroom burger. Accommodating special dietary requests is always appreciated—and helped ensure everyone felt welcome at the table.
Out on the front lawn, members enjoyed a beautiful lineup of three Porsches that showcased more than 60 years of automotive excellence—from a classic 356, to a special edition 911, all the way to the Taycan. It was a perfect snapshot of heritage, performance, and innovation in one place.
Inside, many members took the opportunity to connect with board members, learn about upcoming events, and explore ways to get more involved. The enthusiasm from our new members was truly inspiring and promises great things ahead for the region.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to Janet for partnering with me to organize such a memorable event, and to Hylton and Debbie for graciously hosting us once again at their beautiful club. Special thanks as well to our event chairs John, Cathy, Terry, and Wayne; to my trusted award host Debbie Cooper; and to Patrick for wrestling the Polaroid camera into submission.
We’re already looking forward to the next new membership social in October—but until then, keep the engines running and the stories coming.
