GATOR FLY-IN & ARMED SERVICES APPRECIATION DAY
PORSCHES AND PLANES – IT DOESN’T GET BETTER THAN THAT!
SATURDAY, MARCH 19, 2022

This special event, sponsored by the University Air Center and Gainesville Regional Airport (GNV), honors all branches of the military.  Activities include a Color Guard and VIP/guest speakers from the military & aviation community, vintage aircraft, aircraft fly-ins and displays, food trucks, live music, and helicopter and plane rides (for a fee).  This is an event the whole family will enjoy! This event is free to attend with free parking and shuttles.
Best of all, we will display our Porsches in our own “Porsche Corral” parking area!  What a great opportunity to present the Thoroughbred Region Porsche Club along with members from the Crown Region to more than 4,000 expected attendees. And even better an opportunity for photos with your Porsche on the tarmac with the planes. We are even requesting a Mooney M20L to park near the Porsches. That aircraft was originally fitted with a modified Porsche 911 3.2L Motor!!
Details:
ARRIVE by 9 AM. Directional Signs: Enter GAINESVILLE REGIONAL AIRPORT from Waldo Road (NE State Rd 24) & NE 47th Ave. Show is 10am-3pm.
All Porsches must GATHER outside the gates in a designated parking area so that we can go in together in single file, due to security and public safety reasons. Approx. time 9:20AM
Late arrivals will not be permitted to enter tarmac due to safety but can still enjoy the show.
Vehicles in the corral must stay in place until the end of the show @3pm – No early departures due to safety reasons.
Plenty of shade and restrooms. University Air Center building will be open. Please bring extra chairs and outside food/beverage okay.
